There are many times that I get so caught up in the day-to-day operations of ministry...planing our group meetings and events, fundraising, recruiting volunteers, making sure everything is running smoothly...that I forget the harsh reality of the world that so may of the teens we are ministering to are living in.

Then, as I'm scrolling through my Facebook newsfeed, I see the following words posted by one of our young moms in a desperate please for someone...anyone...to se her. To hear her. To love her.

"I've lived my past 16 years unhappy, abused, mistreated. It's hard to understand happiness now because I've been passed around like a dollar by the people who were supposed to love me the most...but didn't"

My deepest desire is that at Parent Life, our teens will find that we see them. We hear their stories. We know the One who created them, who knows every hair on their heads, who sent his Son to die for them, and who does  love them...unconditionally.

The everyday programming of this ministry, while necessary, is not what matters most. What matters most are the broken hearts of people, like this young mom, who are out there searching for hope. Please pray with me this month that the teens who walk through our doors each week at Parent Life will encounter the life-changing hope found only in Jesus.

Thank you for your continued prayers and support of the Parent Life Lubbock ministry. It is because of each of you that we are able to be here, shining a beacon of hope for the hopeless.
